My reverse lights were not working. After making sure that all fuses are ok, I noticed a socket on gear box not connected (had clutch replaced some months ago). Then I found a cable with connector hanging from left side which plugged in into the connector and lights started working. At the same time I noticed another cable disconnected but I couldn't figure out where it should be connected. It starts on the same place where the previous one and length is about 12".
It has 4 wires: white,brown/green,green/brown,yellow/black. There are some other cables tied up with cap on connector but this one was hanging and looked like it was disconnected. Where it should be connected to?

Don't have a clue about your disconnected cable; but if you could post some pictures!!!
Better yet; show those pictures to your local dealership, they might just surprise you and get you the answer.
