I have a 2009 sonata with the 16" wheels. I want to go from the plastic hubcaps to real wheels. I have done some homework and I am looking to stay with my OEM tires 215-60-16 with less than 3500 miles on them.
The rims I have seen that I really like are 16X7 and 5x4.5 (5x114.3) with an offset of 42. American Casino diamond cut. Anyone have these?
As I understand it that is about stock but I am not sure.
What rim size variation (if any) can be allowed with my tires and as for OFFSET, what are the allowable limits (+ & -)
If you can be of some help and guidance I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Mike

7 inch width and around 40-45 offset is fine

More may fit, but it might stick out too far or be sunken in, neither of which would look very appealing.

I did somehting similar with my 09 Sonata GLS: I put aftermarket wheels on the OEM Michelin tires. I've got a set of Pacer Vantage wheels that are 16 X 7 with a 38mm offset.
