it depends on what kind of leak you have in the hose itself. i had a dodge ram that leaked, i did a lil lookin and saw that one of the compression fittings on the original hose had loosened up. instead of buying a 40$ hose, i went and got a 1$ hose clamp and fixed the problem in 2 minutes. if your hose has rubbed thru then thats a hose replacement. a bit of time and knuckle abuse is probably all it will take to fix. i know there isnt much room to work in the front of the santy so choose wisely.

Newbie here...hello.

I went to my local dealer today because of Power Steering leaks and was told that my power steering return line was corroded.

They quoted me a price of $96.99 for the part and.......

$554.95 IN LABOR!! :rant2:
$743.14 total!

I told them no thanks for now. Currently trying to figure out how difficult the job would be to try and tackle it myself.

I replaced mine a couple months ago, it's not that bad. The hardest part is pulling the old one out and putting the new one in. Get plenty of p/steering fluid, and plenty of rags. nitrile gloves are a must for me, I hate to get my hands dirty. Total time was a couple of hours. Would I do it again or pay 200.00? I'd do it again.
