A home 3M filtrete filter cut to size is best & best value. Try it... you'll like it :)

Hyundai ones are for $15.00 , what's wrong with using them instead of paying double for WIX/BOSCH?

I would strongly recommend checking out www.filter1.com for the Wix cabin filters. They sell them for your Santa Fe for around $18 (U.S.). I'm assuming they ship to Canada.

Also, the list price for the filter from the Hyundai dealers is more like $35 U.S.

About 10 days back I had my filter changed thru Albany, NY dealership. They charged my $14.95 for the filter and $0.00 for labor. It was an original Hyundai cabin filter, since I was given the part itself to handover to service mech.

They wanted HOW MUCH??

Today I bought a filter at the local Hyundai dealer in Hoover, Alabama (Tameron Hyundai) for my '01 Santa. The part number is 08790-38100-A and the price was $22.05 plus tax for a total of $24.03. All the other auto parts stores wanted that much or more for theirs and none of them had a filter in stock. When I put it in, I found that evidently the car never had one, so this is the first filter in the A/C unit.

BTW, I measured the new filter before installation. Here are the dimensions for all those who want to cut another filter to fit:
Inch size: 9-3/16" X 7-3/8" X 1-7/16"
Metric: 250mm X 188mm X 37mm
The dimensions do not include the thin foam gasket around the perimeter of the filter, but it was only about 1/16" or 2mm thick.

yea I know.. they wanted 50 bucks.. screw them I said to myself and went to a autoparts store here and got one for 30 bucks and put it in myself and so far soo good and smells better inside now too..and I think I will stick with what I have just put in and I put in a "WIX" cabin air filter.. they seem to be pretty good.. they make oil filters too.
