would a 1986 Hyundai Excel engine and trans fit in a 1994 Excel? Also would it be difficult to put a manual transmission into it when it was originally an automatic?
thanks

swapping that powertain into your car would not really be possible... well, anything's possible, but I'm thinking the problem would be the CV joints/driveshafts... I don't think one exists that would match that trans to the geometry and spindle housings on the 94.

futher to the above reply it would be a major trauma changing from auto to manual, you would need flywheel, clutch, clutch hydrolics, and would also need to change the pedal box assembly inside the car to get the extra pedal, not to mention the gear stick and lincage etc
