Hello everyone.
It's no big deal but I thought I'd share my install with anyone who needed ideas on where to place one of those portable gps units.
I really wanted to install an aftermarket in-dash dvd-nav, but unfortunatly you can't buy the dash kit for the 09's yet. Yes, metra has the part listed on their website but you can't buy it yet(I called them).
Anyway I didn't want to mount the gps on the windshield because first I hate having things stuck infront of me and second I didn't want to attract any attention when the car is parked. I figured the middle compartment would be a perfect place to put the gps unit, and when I'm not using it just leave the compartment door closed. I hardwired the power (spliced into the cigarette lighter connector).

Okay, pics...they speak for themselves.

Looks good. How is the GPS unit mounted in the cubby, and are you using an external GPS antenna?
