YUMMY!

I saw these hoses at autozone. We can make our's a CAI instead of ram air by putting it down at the bottom. I'm going to by a bypass filter so I don't hydro in a 2 foot puddle if i get into one.

OK we need to replace our old filter box with the right sized office trash can.

We need a heat gun and a saw or knife to cut the hole the tube goes into. We also need a way to seal it after it's in. I'm open to suggestions.

so i got borded yesterday and i did the same thing as the blue cold air intake but i did it ram air style and well... no gain
the engine bay gets too hot for the bennifit of a ram air intake. unless you used a solid pipe and at least 4 inches and a direct route with no more then 2 bends, there will be no difference in power. i got inventive and bought a air duct thing for houses and mounted that sucker under the car. wow it made some funny noises when it got ripped off and dragged under the car.... it was funny and again no bennifit.

im thinking about making an under body scoop to to pull air up into the engine bay to keep it cooler cuse wow it gets toasty under there. ithink it will help with the sri too cuse it will have a balst of cold air at speed.

where i want o mount it is where the under body air deflector is that pushes air away from the engine bay. it should mount right up to the existing holes with the existing bolts. should be interesting. lol it will be a little like a snow plow in the winter... though if i make it i will take it off for snow season

edit. also komp, i did the direct air filter application . sounds sweeter but what to do with all thet room...

For optimal performance, I recommend an intake like this guy I saw put on his ricer Escort. He took a ShopVac hose, stretched it to the front of the car, stuck it out the bumper and then put the floor attachment on the end of the hose, screwing the attachment down to the bumper. That's another ingenious idea that's good for at least 264 horsepower by my calculations.
