So I was out with Wednesday with a buddy of mine, and while driving I noticed that the check engine light popped on. The car drove fine, but I still took it in to the dealer that night. They ran diagnostics yesterday and it turns out the O2 sensor went. I had to wait until today because they didn't have the needed part. Okay, fine. So when I went to pick it up today, they tell me "All done, Sir" and they had a kid roll up the car. When I get outside, the car is making an obnoxious rattling sound. It sounds like there is something in the cooling fan. I immediately went back in, waited in line (again!) to talk to a service rep, and when I finally get to talk to him, hes like bring it back Monday. I'm left angry and with a car that from a driving perspective, is worse than before. Isn't it common practice for the tech to test drive or at least start the car before releasing it to the customer?

On an unrelated note, does anyone know if the 08 sonata's have an aux-in for the stereo? (Because my Best Buy Ipod thing aint so good)

Sorry for the rant, but its been a long day.

unfirtunately not uncommon for it to go in for one thing and come out with something else wrong.. i have had that with some of the "big service chain" places i have used in the past (PB, Vespias, STS).. its why i go to a local guy now..

as for your other question, the answer is no... no aux-in until the '09's came out... after market stereo the way to go for that.. (you may want the "OEM" look, but you will be so happy if you actually swapped it out for a better stereo with a plug - i was)

ocean,
did you check for loose tools and/or wires in the way of the fan? Could be an easy fix in lieu of visting the dealer again. :amen:

But free doughnuts and coffee are always a good reason to visit the dealer. Dam, I sound like Miami don't I? :bwekk:

I brought my Honda Service advisor a Burger King Croissanwich once.

He really appreciated it Craig!
