Want to change my oil and filter on my 2008 Santa Fe. How do I access the oil filter?...from top or underneath? Can't see much from underneath with the splash guard. It's so much easier on my '02 SF! Suggestions?

You should try asking this question on the Santa Fe board. You're on the Sonata board right now.

BTW, it's probably on top of the engine under the plastic engine cover if it's the 3.3L.

Good luck.

If you have the 3.3 the filter is on top, you must remove the plastic engine cover to get to it. Do a search on this or the santa fe website since there are some diy posts out there. Be careful the 3.3 uses a cartridge filter so very different from the spin on filters. If you have the 2.7 the filter is on the bottom of the engine and uses the old fashioned spin on type.
