hi everyone,
I got my HID kit today and wanted to install it. The stock "Blue Look" bulbs were not good enough lol.

I got 8000k for H7 bulbs. Anyways can anyone lead me step by step as to how I should install these on the Sonata? I have no clue whatsoever :w00t:
The kit didnt come with a relay harness is it needed or what? Sorry guys im really clueless about these lights, I asked my friend to help me but he said he is scared something might blow up or something so do you guys recommend getting it done professionally?

let me help b4 the flaming begins.
first unscrew black cap behind lamp.
make a 1" hole or an appropriate diamater for the gourment supplied in the kit.
removoe bulb by playing with the lil paper clip type holder
insert hidharness pins in the factory terminals yellow=+ black=-
insert hid bulb in socket
screw cap back on
find a nice mounting location for ballast
repeat for other side
shud take 30-40 mins
most time consuming steps are removing/unclipping bulb and drilling hole in cap.

Thanks alfu btw do I have to remove the headlight fully to install this or is it possible to just take off the cap and dril?

ok thanks, and lastly is there any risk involved in this? Is it possible that my electrical system will fry or something like that, and what can I do to prevent this?

none, the hids run off less amperage than factory lights so u dont have to wrry about melting wires or lamp assemblies.

He forgot to mention thought that on STARTUP they require more power which is why some peoples wires get fried and why some people run relays.

I haven't had any problems though and hey ALFUUUUU any pictures of your headlights on with the 3000k fogs yet?

one of my 3k bulbs went bad.
im currently running stocks. the return policy those ebay ppl have is just as good as not having one. lol
i gota pay shiping round trip give a $15 deposite incase teh bulb is not defective and other bs.

No relay is required. Make SURE you wear some type of surgical/rubber gloves so you don't touch the bulb (glass part) - that's really important for long life.

You're welcome - better safe than sorry. :) If in doubt about anything post up first. The hardest part(s) of the install are finding suitable places to mount the ballasts and accurately drilling the holes in the caps on the headlights. That part isn't hard if you have the right size bit though, I winged it with a Dremel so it's more-or-less egg shaped. :innocent:

Hey madderhatter where is a good place to mount the ballasts and do these need to be screwed on or can I just use strong tape to stick them on? Thanks again :beer:

i no im not madderhatter but i thought id telll you wer i mounted mine since ive had them for a year free of any issues. :)

look for screws were i put the red circles and screw the brackers there.
double sided tape = poop
