I'm thinking about putting these on our '06 Sonata. Anyone with 19's have thoughts or suggestions?

It's been done, 8" wide at 45 offset should fit, but I'll let someone with 18 or 19s confirm.

That design will look good, but I can't say that I would personally go larger than 18s. I think beyond 18s they look too big, and don't suit the car, but to each his/her own.

Does anyone in the garage have pics with 19's (35mm offset) or something close? I'm told they'll fit without rubbing. 245/35-19 for tires. Sound right?

thats my exact set up tires, rims(mine are ADR as well), 35 offset, 19x8.5, etc. i only rub when i go fast over bumps and some road imperfections.
but im riding on an 1.4" drop so u shud be fine on stock setup, altho lowpros look ugly with a big gap between tire n fender.

alfu - LOOKS GREAT! Those are the same wheels I have on my VW (in 18"). They look good on the Sonata too!

So you don't have any rubbing problems turning? I probably won't lower mine (spent all my $$ on rims...lol). Sounds like I'll be OK.

AlexHS - Thanks for the link - wheels are VERY similar.

alfu - I do agree that the gap stands out. I'll have to live with it for the time being. But you're drop looks sweet!!!

You're right about the roads! Wish I could do a 1" drop. Eibach has a 1.5" drop, but with the roads, I'd be rubbung too much. I probably should have gone with 18's, but I already have 17's and the sidewalls are huge! I put 18's on my Beetle and they look GREAT (same wheels as yours...lol). So I figured 19's for the Sonata being as it's a little bigger.

OOOO, a gallery of the "german bodykit"
*bookmarked*

The Eibachs don't quite drop 1.5", at least in my experience, I think it was closer to 1.125"

I would have agreed with the eariler posts at first, thinking 19's would be too large for the Sonata, but after seeing alfu's setup, ****!

Very sharp looking.

still think they look too big for the car.. i disagree that 18's look too small.. personally, i think 18's are as big as the car design allows to still look good..

but that's just my opinion...

I think they look way overdone for a Sonat
