I know there was talk about it a lil while back but has anyone found out conclusively if the 09 headlights could be made to fit the NF sonata??

as far as I remember, they were H11b bulbs, and almost no one makes aftermarket bulbs in that size yet since the demand is so low and there are so few cars using that size... dont think anyone claimed they could jeri-rig a different bulb in there yet...

ud have to do some cutting in the bumper to throw the 09 lamps on an 06-08

If you are talking about the headlamp housing assembly, then no, it will not fit the earlier models. They are shaped differently and the bumper cover is different as well.

And I'm still baffled, what is that narrow long part at the bottom of the headlamp housing.... There were some attempts here to call them all kind of names, but I'm still in need of a simple answer, or rather, to make it REALLY simple: WHEN are they lit?

Mamamia........... They are front running lights. They perform no other function - no turn - no flashing. they are either on or off.
