I am glad i am not the only one that has heard that..Thanks for the replies. I plan on changing the trans fluid at the proper mileage on this one. The 2009 Sonata V6 shifts very hard? Everyone i test drove does this and the one i bought shifts hard also.. They must have changed the trans up some?? Anyone know ??

there are many of you on this site that think the sonata is a racer; you need to get a lilfe; if you want speed get another car and use this for what it is made for;

You are 100% correct. I think the fact that the Sonata V6 will do 140-150mph give people delusions that it's fast. :P

Hey, I've been wondering what the fancy valve control and extra 10hp does for the V6. Wonder what the top speed is in the 09? Tried it yet?

Just to chime in on this thread, a few time i manually shifted the car, and it bounced off the rev limiter. The Sonata has a ECU lag, i wish i could get it on a dyno and have the computer tuned but that would prob void my warranty...

well car and driver did say that 144 mph was top speed for the 06-08 V6 models but realistically it could go up to 150 mph. Car and Driver said that 09 models have top speed of 146 mph, so i have no doubt someone can take it to 150-153 mph stock.
