Hello,

I have a question for all the Tucson owners out there. I have an 05 and the driver side hinge on the rear window busted today. I do not use the window often however today I opened it to throw something in the back and it popped apart and at the same time scratching the paint on the passenger side. Has any one else had this happen? and if so is it a common failure?

Hi and welcome to the forums- No this is the first time I have ever heard of this happening in the 4 years that the Tucsons have been available.

Can I suggest that you take it into the nearest dealer and get him to fix it under warranty.

Cheers
Itza :460:

I know this thread is a little old, but the same thing just happened to my 05 Tucson except it was the pasenger side hinge that broke. I was wondering how much the dealership is going to rip me off for. Of course the warranty was up quite some time ago.
