Thanks for the review, but I have to say, for someone who claims to sell 30-60 million dollar homes, you sure do talk like uneducated, teenage hoodrat.

Please clean up your language before posting. This isn't a conversation being held in your living room and not everyone appreciated thinly-veiled homophobia and (un)witty quips about housewives.

I've never known anyone who let his sexual identity get so wrapped up in a vehicle.

Glad you liked the Genesis, but pardon me if I never point to commentary like this in support of my admiration for the car.

Agreed - keep it clean and to the point. :liebe011:

With that said, have you ever driven a G35/37 or an M35 ? How BMW could throw on twin turbos and only garner 300hp is beyond me.

Heh, have you driven one? :) They may "only" make 300 horse power, but they make it for a looooong time. The torque curve is intense, 6th gear accelleration feels like 3rd or 4th gear accelleration.
GREAT power curve on the 335, and an amazing engine.

Plus if you chip em, there are guys making a TON of power with little to no mods.

....just about what I would expect from a person who actually bought a Ford Edge. Question, Do you put 20's on your houses before you roll them into the trailer park?

Well please folks, lets not forget that the two kikass turbos sitting atop that six in the 335/535 are none other than MITSUBISHI. Please call them, and thank them for the perfect units they so kindly stuck on those engines.

That's the one thing ALL reviews leave out when comparing those BMW's to other six cylinders. THERE's TWO TURBO'S FROM MITSUBISHI SITTING UP THERE BUDDY., AND THE OTHERS ARE KEEPING UP MORE OR LESS, ESPECIALLY THE G37/IS350 NO PROBLEM, WITHOUT!

I'm not taking sides here, but that was really funny.....

You can never judge a book by its cover though.

Example; My girlfriends boss, who owns the 2nd largest architecture firm in Boston drives a Hyundai XG350. I don't know what else he has in his garage, but to roll up to work in the XG takes some balls....

Uh... point?

They may be from mitsu, but half the turbos out there are from mitsubishi.
The 335 is also a 3.0 liter. The Genesis/Azera are 3.8 liters. The Nissan stuff is 3.5 or 3.7 liters. Heck, even the sonata packs a bigger static displacement at 3.3 liters.
Turbos are just another way of making displacement and are MUCH more efficient with a great deal more potential.

The 300hp 3.0 twin turbo beemer will get better mileage than most other cars in it's class, and if you want to make more power later, it is VERY easy to make 400 horsepower with minor mods.
Try making 400 horsepower from the Genesis 3.8 liter? Oh, yeah.... nevermind, you probably can't without spending a great deal of money on expensive mods or adding a turbocharger :) :whistling:
Even the MUCH larger 4.6 liter doesn't make 400 horse. :)

Are you kidding me? Point? My gosh, read the post again. Do you see two turbos on top of either the IS350 or the G35 or G37? So why is everyone comparing the double Mitsubishi turbo'd BMW's to all these normally aspirated models?

Do you know what would happen in a comparison with those two turbos mounted on top of that Lexus 3.5 or Nissan 3.5/3.7? You already know my friend.

You still fail to make a point.
Yes, there are turbos, that's neither revolutionary nor astonishing as many cars come factory turbocharged. Even Honda offers the RDX with a turbocharger in an attempt to maintain fuel economy, but still provide enough power to make the vehicle enjoyable to drive.

BMW makes the same or better power with a 3.0 liter, that is 0.5 liter smaller than the nearest serious competition. When the turbos are not providing boost, you get the economy of a 3.0 liter rather than a 3.5/3.7 liter.

The 335 is an example of making More with less.
You seem to be stuck on the simple fact that they are THERE, not what they are doing there or why they are there.

Turbo = big bucks at the repair shop and shorter lifespan of engine. There are exceptions, but they are few and far between.

BMW just blew it. HOW do you stick twin turbos on an engine and come out with 300HP ? What are they running, like .10 lb of boost ? Gale Banks has to shaking his head and that engineering marvel. If I was looking for something sporty I'd just spend the same amount of money and get a C6 and proceed to walk the BMW in every performance category. :whistling:

The C6? Talk about apples to oranges.

The turbo-charged 3.0l in the 335i is quite torquey and produces more than 300hp. Dynos have proved this engine is underrated from the factory (as are many BMW engines....hence their good performance numbers given their modest hp ratings). You can also get a chip for a few hundred dollars and gain 50+ hp. The thing about this engine is it's powerful (with no turbo-lag), suprisingly fuel efficient, and very refined. Numbers on a sheet of paper do not always tell the whole story.

Doesn't turbo or super charger decrease fuel efficiency?
