Has anyone had any experience - good or bad - with Mobil 1 Oil filters?

They sell for twice as much as ordinary filters (and weigh twice as much) - that's the extent of my knowledge.

I have put it on my 2004 tundra that I recently traded in for a different vehicle. I did not get a chance to take it out since the next oil change wasn't due before I traded it in.
The Mobil1 filter was definately heavier than the oem toyota filter. I'm not sure what it really means by synthetic filter element, but I did not find anything special in terms of how the engine was running.

5 quarts of mobil1 or mobil1 extended performance with a mobil1 filter was on sale for 25 dollars at advance auto parts two months ago, so I decided to give it a try.

For this month, Autozone has 5 quarts of mobil1 with a mobil1 filter for 26.99 + tax, or 5 quarts of extended performance with a mobil 1 filter for 29.99 + tax.

You can try it once and see it for yourself.
