Im doing my service and repairs on my GF's Lantra. The timing belt needs to be done so before i go on my journey to pull it apart im after some detail info so i can research it and pre pare myself as i can not find a workshop manual for 1997 Lantra SE anywhere

I do alot of my own maitenance and servicing but havnt played with alot of front wheel drive cars. So before i make a mess and bolts and parts can anyone assist me with info/details etc??

Hey Mate..Try Supercheap auto or Repco..See if the Hayne's range of Service Manuals include this model. Alternatively do a search on Ebay. Select worldwide to broaden your search .. Our Lantra is the same as the Elantra in the states..

Yes, there is a Haynes manual that covers '96-'01 Elantras. Should help a lot. Also you can register at hmaservice.com and get access to lots of service info there.

Yeah rite. I might check out the hmaservice and check out thne elantra. I didnt know thay where the same. See how i go. Thanks for the heads up guys
