Hi All
I have noticed that the car, 2002 FX 2.7 is reluctant to change up into 4th no matter how gently I drive. Is there a sport/touring option that can be set on the gear box?

Ok, the FX is the one before the GK here.

the TCM learns driving behavior of the driver, and adjusts shif patern accordingly. This can get confusing, when there are mor drivers for this car.
Best is to disconnect the battery for +-10 minutes, so that the adaptive memory is deleted. Then drive the car as you normally would. It may take a few 100 km to relearn the driving habits.

The FX nomenclature is just a trim level (like SE)........as Duke said the Gen.3`s model i.d. is GK......... (the 1st. & 2nd. generation cars were designated RD & RD1 by Hyundai).

Nick. :)
