Does anyone know if a gauge cluster from a SE would work on a GS?
The SE has the temp gauge on it and the GS does not.

Here is my thinking. I want to swap out the LEDs from green to blue,
and since I will need to have the cluster out and you can't drive without it.
I was thinking of buying another cluster from ebay and have that swapped
instead of renting a car while the swap is going on, and I might as well
get a nicer gauge cluster to boot if the SE gauge would plug in and work.

By the way does anyone know a person or place that would swap my
LEDs???

Thank you,
Jason

Many have talked about the swap but none have tried it. See if you can find one at a junkyard and try it yourself, break new ground here.

As far as the LED's go, do you have any reputable local electronics repair shops? They may be able to help.

I was thinking of trying out this mod...
Dummy lights on temp is not nice.
But the time you're overheating your light comes on.
Im opting for an aux temp gauge in the pillars.

but just fair warning...
I think swapping out the cluster could zero out the odometer.
But...Im not 100% sure.

Good point about the odo, I'm almost 100% sure the mileage is going to be stored in the cluster. So you'll end up with whatever mileage in the replacement cluster says. Maybe you'll luck out and it reads it from the PCM/BCM like some cars but I doubt it.

No way to reduce the mileage, but if the new cluster has lower mileage I've seen someone rig up a pulse generator, get voltage to the cluster and the pulse generator will drive the speedometer until you get the mileage to the point you need it.
