A few ignition questions for those in the know please.....

1. I'm planning on replacing the spark plugs soon. I notice in the Owner's Manual it recommends the NKG or Champion Platinum ones...neither of which I can readily find. I have found the Bosch Platinum +4 ones that are apparently the right ones, but these have 4 "points of ignition" leading up to the end of the spark plug...suppose to be better...but should I just stick with the recommended ones in the manual?

2. I also want to replace the spark plug wires...however can someone correct me if I'm wrong, but am I right in assuning there are only TWO spark plug wires to replace here as the other two are actually the ignition coils on top of the other two spark plugs? In other words, the way I'm viewing it is there appears to only be two actual spark plug "plugs" that have normal spark plug wires coming from them. The other ends of these attach to each of the two ignition coils, and the two ignition coils seem to have an integrated "plug" that goes into the spark plug well and replaces what would normally be a spark plug "plug" on two of the spark plugs. Is this correct? So when I go to buy spark plug wires should I expect to find just to wires in the box for the kit??

3. And as for the ignition coils...I recently had one replaced. I never even knew what or where they were until I went looking to replace the spark plugs. So am I correct in assuming there are TWO igintion coils in the Santa Fe, and they take the place of two of the spark plug "plugs" that go into the spark plug well and attach to the top of the spark plug?? If so, is there any difference between the left and right one when it comes to replacement? Are they literally a unplug and re-plug in replacement when it comes to replacing an iginiton coil? Nothing elese to do but hook the wires back up?

Thanks!!!

well i can answer the first part of your series of questions. I recently replaced my spark plugs and i did in fact use the bosch platinum +4 and they are phenomenal. i only have the 4 cyl. 2.0 liter and it actually made my truck feel less lethargic than it did before, i have had absoloutley no problem with them and ive had them in for roughly a month now and i did them myself. in my personal opinion the +4's are nice because of the 4 prongs, the extra conductivity for the sparks to be made is much more efficient than your standard one or two, plus you dont need to gap them, which is awesome in and of itself. Granted the outcome is minimal, although i feel i do get slightly better gas mileage and my acceleration definitley feels much better now.
