Hey Guys/Gals,

I currently have a Bailey DV26 Dump valve fitted to my car...and it sounds lovely

I've read somewhere that I should have fitted a DV30 as it recircultes the air, to up the performance of my car. IS this true? :puzzled:

I've looked around and it looks like the DV30 is specific to certain models of car.
Is there a fitting kit for the DV30? If so, where?

Am I safe using a DV26 Dump Valve without damaging the engine or should I get a DV30?

Thanks.

If you have dump to athmosphere -valve, the ECU doesn't know that the air has dumped away because it's monitored trough your MAF (hot wire unit), that's why you should have recirculating valve which pushes the air back to turbos intake side and ECU can get the correct values from MAF.

Was it complicated enough to explain? :D :D

Oh and wheres the best place to install the kit. Between the MAF and the turbo?

Cheers

Hi!
The DV 26 is fine for your car as it is a twin-piston design & does not create the `bogging-down` effect of a normal vent-to-atmos. BOV.

The Bailey DV 30 re-circulating dump valve is slightly more efficient on the S-Coupe Turbo, but you lose most of the sound & you will need to run a hose from it`s outlet into the main intake pipe (between the MAF & the turbo).....sealing the joint with black silicone sealant (or even underseal).

Just make slits in the main pipe like * & push the vent-hose inside 1/2" or so.

Cheers,
Nick. :)

It's not bad losing most of the sound, with these kind of cars it's better to be a little bit of stealth.

Like it that way. :)
