 Hello there fellow members of HF,
As per the tittle; I am planning a trip from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to Montréal, Quebec, Canada through the state of Maine.
Why? Cheap fuel, been to Montreal and back throught New Brunswick at least 25 times in the last 24 years. Willing to leave some hard earn canadian bucks in the USA!!! Different route different trees different vilages....Need More?
OK! Now, I have travel the old #9 from Calais to Bangor and the 95 before. But from the 95 to the custom post in Coburn Gore is where I need my infos. I was once on the ME27 from Coburn Gore to Sugarloaf Montain Ski Resort but that was about 30 years ago, as a teenager on a bus with the ski club.
So, here is my route. Off the 95 at exit 157 (Newport) to SR-11, to US-2 (Main Street) through Palmira and Cannan, to US-201 (Madison Ave) in Skowhegan, to SR-148 (White School House Road) through Madison, to US-201A (SR-8) in Anson, to SR-16 (Elm Street and Lexington Street) through North New Portland, to SR-27 (SR-16) in Kingfield; through Carrabassett, Bigelow (Sugarloaf Montain) and Eustis, to custom post in Coburn Gore. About 173 Kms ( 103 Miles) of road of which I know nothing. I have used Microsoft Street and Trips 2007 to get this route.
What I need to know is; any gas stations, restaurents and hotel on this route? And if you are a resident close to the mentioned route, what do you think of it.
Thank you all who will give me valiable infos. :amen:
