I see that those with the new Santa Fe have started a thread on mileage and to see how theirs are holding up. I figure we 'originals' :whistling: should have the same thing.

Give us your date of purchase, whether you bought it new or used, the current mileage (in miles or km), and any problems you have or have had.

Bought New: 10.30.2004 with 26 miles on the odo
Currently: 97,680 miles
Current Problems: Rattling heat shield, parking brake cable needs to be tightened.

Other than that...I've got nothing wrong with her. My friends and family think this engine could make it to 300,000 miles no problem. They said it as a statement. I took it as a challenge!

Bought New: 7/1/2004 15 miles
Currently: 56,262.
Current Problems: Cargo cover broke last weekend but we took it apart and fixed it. No other problems and has never been in the shop for repairs. I love it, most reliable vehicle I've had to date. Will probably need new tires next year as the originals are getting down there but will try to hang on as long as I can. Starting to think about a replacement for when the day comes, but not liking much out there except the FJ Cruiser but it has lots of problems so it's out of the running. Not crazy about the style of the new Santa fe though I did test drive it and it seems alot like the old one to me.

2002 Santa Fe V6 AWD
105,XXX miles
Purchased new...gosh....summer of 2002 I think it was...

Problems fixed under warranty: Rear door handle quit working, fuel gauge not reading properly (taken in twice....never fixed), power steering lines cracked and leaked fluid- lines replaced along with p/s pump

Current problems: fuel gauge does not read correctly and never will at this point, rear drivers side door will sometimes not unlock

Needs done: transfer case fluid needs replaced

I just did the timing belt, serp belt, coolant flush, and p/s fluid flush this past weekend....along with a nice interior and exterior detail. Wife said: "WOW...it has not looked that good in years!"

I hope I can get another 100k out of her.
