it's so i can put an amp in the car and eventually a sub woofer

a hi/low is a way of putting RCA inputs for a stock stereo

but what i really need to know is how to disassemble the dash

He means a line-out converter. Something I'll also be doing this weekend. Hopefully I don't tear up my plastic interior pulling the panels and the head-unit surround. Anybody know where the schematic is to tell which speaker wires are for the back speakers?

Why not buy an amp or a crossover with built in high level inputs? Line out converter is just an extra path to introduce noise into your system.

basically any of the products listed here
http://www.mobileaudiocontrol.com/dept.asp...=17612&l1=17612

there are some alpine v series amps that accept highlevel inputs as well.

I can't speak for moose, but I'm using one because it's way cheaper. 15 bucks shipped, for a nice one with gain controls on it. Sooner or later I'll buy a new HD headunit with RCA outs, but right now I'm good with the line out converter.

/got school bills and a wedding to pay for.

www.hmaservise.com has the diagrams .Sign in go go SHOP .Choose your year ,body electrical, audio and particular model. The first two upper and lower are used for the speaker connections, but you'll have to look because I don't remember which is left /right, or +/-.Not that hard to do.I also wired my amp into the acc. wire so it comes on when the stereo comes on.No noise problems whatsoever with mine.

What i was saying, is you could buy an amp like this

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Ite...tures_and_specs

and then you do not need line out converters at all.
You can splice into the factory speaker wires and run them directly to the amp. No RCAs necessary, no line out converter necessary.

The plug on the far right is the high level input.
