Wondering if you can help me out. First time I've had a sunroof on a car so not sure if this is normal or not. I notice when I open the sunroof all the way(usually travelling at approx 50km/hr or more) I sometimes get this clapping noise like the glass is banging against something. If I close the sunroof an inch or 2 it's fine. Can anyone help me out with this?

Thanks In Advance

I have the same model and no such problem... the sunroof operates smoothly and quietly. Sounds like something for your dealer to correct. Good luck!

Yes - It is due to the cheap damper they install. Open your back windows about an inch. It reduces the noise.

There was an issue like this on the SM Santa Fes with the sunroof. Open the roof and stand through the opening. Then check the little pop-up buffer blocker. I know with the SM body this buffer came with a strip of protective plastic that many dealers would overlook in the PDI process and would keep the air from being effectively buffered. Maybe you have a similar issue.

Good luck, sir.
