Here's some pics of my Weapon R SRI intake;

First shot is the ECU mount
Note placement of ECU mounting bolts for clearance.
Note forward bolt bounting at bottom of ECU bracket to clear firewall.

Second shot is the very close clearance of the SRI with the Brake Fluid resevior.

Third & Forth shots are of the kit supplied bracket applied to hold the whole filter/pipe assembly located in the right position for clearances.

I really like the weapon R SRI for a couple of reasons;
got 1.5 better MPG city driving with it
got better low end torque 2000-2300 rpm.
can pull a hill in 4th gear now instead of having to downshift into 3rd gear.

I emailed Weapon-R about the 2008 Accent actually because I still have my intake from my 1998 Prizm LSi (god d*mn that intake made it FAST!!) that was recently totalled by a 73 year old woman, so funny you posted this :)
This is what they said:
QUOTE
Hi *****

Thank you for your interest in our Weapon R products, currently we only offer a 2006-07 Accent, and has not been tested on the 2008 yet.
Here is the instruction for this application.
(blah blah blah)

So did you get that intake for the 2006-2007 from them for your 2008 Accent? I guess it would make sense since I don't think there were any major differences with the Accent since 2006, right?

Also, how do you have it shielded from the engine's radiant heat, if at all?

I managed to hook up my Weapon-R Secret Weapon filter to my intake... will post a pic later. Definitely increased throttle response and feels like the torque has increased a little, especially in the higher RPMS, but I didn't notice any change in acceleration at all. Oh well. Still makes use of the Secret Weapon I had lying around from my previous car.
