im not tryin to be an a-s-s. but the topics about exhaust and intakes need to stop, if you are new........ look at the old posts about intake and exhaust they are all proficiently covered..... and if u have questions about anything else look at old posts before you post a new one. it's jsut kind of annoying seeing new posts that were already covered..

If you really are that concerned about it then petition the moderators to put up more stickies.
Thats the easiest way to stop this from happening. Another good solution is to start a wiki to act as a database for all knowledge discovered for our cars.

Complaining doesnt accomplish anything.

Obviously, if we have time to complain, we have time to help out the new folks. Does it really matter. Sometimes we get good info from members that didn't post in the old threads, but add their two cents to the new thread. Just a thought.

I agree some of the questions do get redundant and most people DON'T even try to search. They just ask questions over and over. I also frequent miata.net site which they have a FAQ section that deals with specific issues.

Not oppossed to helping anyone but check out miata.net home page, that's what we need here, warning that if you don't search first you will be ridiculed.

The first 2 stickies were just created within the last week. That argument does not really hold up on this forum.

Though it can get annoying, without questions being asked more then once, you would run out of things to talk about. Then it would just be an encyclopedia rather then a forum. Or at least just an off topic forum, no?

Man, I would LOVE an online 3G Accent encyclopedia.

Just not one where every third page is a link for an SRI or exhaust.

God I love how far this forum and the accent have come... this is my first time stopping back in in several months and I'm just blown away...

Komptek glad to hear your Getting it over with. I knew You'd pull through...

REALLY miss my accent...

One thing I'd like you to consider is the "Noob Questions" Idea... Because if you're not careful, you might end up doing exactly what "rx8club.com" does... Which is FLAME... BadLY...

which I'm sure at some point they were just like us... where the car was new, and all the ingenuous ideas were just being pioneered... now... if you try to ask a question on there... lets just put it this way... they're a bunch of uppidy jerk-offs.

So take care guys... and love on them cars they really are a friggin blast.

I agree if there were no updates, because people just asked without searching, we wouldn't have stuff to talk about. BUT we could use the help of the sticky. so i can go both ways...i think

But how many times do we need to hear about where to get a SRI or what is the best HID source/brightness?

Maybe the newb doesn't know anything about any "Sticky"
And I myself think the search function sucks.
I don't think this forum is that busy..... let it roll.
Orrrrrr... roll one :cigareta:

I don't think you could consider anything on this forum a "noob post". Forums are places for discussion and learning. Sometimes it just takes a lot of seemingly stupid posts for people to start learning about their cars. I don't think it's wrong to be curious.

I say so what if some one asks a question over again, get over it, life is to short to get nuty just because somebody made a mistake and asked or wanted to to talk about their new Accent on a covered subject. We were all new at this at one time or other.................

i use the search function and it is ok...not the greatest...but then again some people know more about a certain topic as some of us have stated here already....so its ok to bring a topic back up, but there are certain circumstances
