I found my wife broke the driver side sun visor's mirror.
Instead of replacing it at dealer for $250+
I want to disassemble it and put a new mirror
Anyone know how to disaseemble the sun visor?
I can't see any screws around the hanging bar and plastic cover.

I'm going to buy a small mirror and a diamond cutting knife at a dollar shop
It'll cost me just $3 dollars if I can disassemble it.

Several years ago I had an 02 Explorer Sport Trac. I accidently cracked the mirror.

Upon close inspection, I realized that I would do more damage by trying to remove the visor interior.

I took a piece of mirror and using a cutter, made a piece to fit over the broken mirror. I was still able to close the cover on the mirror.

If there is not enough room for the cover to be closed on the Santa Fe with the added thickness of two mirrors, try this. Remove the broken mirror from the visor, breaking more if necessary. Then perhaps the new mirror will fit inside.

You probably won't be able to get it perfect because I believe the Santa Fe has rounded corners but it will still work well and won't show unless the mirror door is open. At least it will still be functional.

Since I am not near my Santa Fe right now, I can't remember just how the mirror is shaped but pretty sure the corners are rounded.

Never the less, with a little creativity, I think you will make it work.

Not a perfect solution but better than $250. You can try a few junk yards but since this style Santa Fe has only been around since 07, there probably won't be many available. Of course, you never know.

Darn... my wife said she tried to close the driver side window when the visor were half outside of the window.

You're right
I might just taking off the broken mirror and put through the door without opening the visor inside.

Anyway do you know how to take the whole visor off from the SF's ceiling?
because I want to do mirror job on my woking table but not on the driver's seat.
