I have to do something about my dome light, when my car stereo is hitting
it rattles like crazy. So I'm going to pop it open to see what all the rattle is about.
While I have it open I want to change the bulb to a blue or bright white bulb.
the stock bulb is kind of yellowish. Has anyone changed there's out to something
other then a stock replacement? I'm not even sure what kind of bulb is in there.

So it is a standard bulb replacement and they come in blue?
Or did you rewire it to use LEDs?

im in the very slow process of installing my sub(new set up steathly) and have been toying with the idea of mounting LEDs back there and under the hood along the sides in the ressed areas .....

check sleez bay they have hid equal led's that will make it clear as day inside.

i was going to order a boat load of blue led's i think like 100 or so and put them every where i see fit... my car will be black by day and blind you with blue at night!!! lol j/k but i am going to redo my vent lights... and the hatch, set them up to the hatch light ive been toying with ripping the pannels off again and aiming an led at each of my component speakers to really show them off. im sure i can find some other uncle bens places but none come to mind at the moment

does anyone know what a led bulb goes through in its last legs of life? mine are flickering and not to any pattern or beat of the music. one to my left flickered a few months back then it quited. every now an again it flickers some more. now the other ones are starting. looks cool but extremly annoying at night on the highway while looking for deer and speeding at 130kmph

Yeah I'm wanting blue LED's all over my interior. Like the dome lights, map lights, etc. Maybe even some under the dash that shine on the pedals and stuff. Where can you find blue LED dome lights that fit the accent? I checked pep boys and all they had were blue sleeves for the lights. BTW, those dome light covers are a pain to get off. LOL.

I find blue LEDs too impractical to use for a dome light. I got a HID White LED bulb for my dome light and it has a tiny hint of bluish color to it, but it's mostly white. It's so awesome that I can actually drive with it on without obstructing my view of the road at night at all because it's not very reflective (on the windshield). I'll post a picture if you'd like.

im not exactly sure how our bulbs look like, so thats why I'm gonna ask first =p

NO. You need a "festoon" style bulb, seen here.

http://autolumination.com/festoon.htm

You will need a bulb that is 31mm in length
Got mine from Autolumination.com for $9.

I got it more than a year ago and it's still just as bright as it always has been (really bright lol). Also, the cool thing is that it will DIM when you lock the car or close the doors, just like the stock bulb

Or if you're really ballsy, go with this:
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/Product...sid/0/SFV/32481
I'll be buying that to replace my current LED dome light, because I want it to be even brighter and that baby should do the trick... 30 M-SMT LEDs... yeahh baby

yes, it will fit. It will pop directly in.

NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!
Move the switch on your dome light to OFF and DO NOT TOUCH THE BULB FOR AT LEAST 10 MINUTES!!!! That mo-fo gets really really really really really really really really really HOT!!!! lol\

Oh yeah, other side note. With LEDs, when you set the switch back to ON, it may not come on. If that happens, just flip the LED around the other way and it will work. LEDs are Polarity-Sensitive

Not worth the money. For less than that you outfit the entire inside of your car with LEDs from V-LEDS.com and they'll be much MUCH brighter and last a long longer.

For example, I'm going to buy this to replace my current LED dome light. This one should be SIGNIFICANTLY brighter
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/Product...sid/0/SFV/32481
(IMG:http://www.photosled.com/data/500/5217649.jpg)
It has 48 M-SMT LEDs, compared to the 30 that KoreanAutoImports has.

Soon I will also be replacing the lights in my glove compartment and hatch storage space
