?

i've accidentally killed my battery twice & had to get a jump from someone.

i THINK both times i had the stereo on, headlights on, fogs & possibly the air fan.

i don't think either time was JUST the stereo.

but in both cases, it was about 30mins.

does that seem normal?

i'm wondering if my battery may be poo.

i think we have a weak battery(storage wise). i went out the other night about 10pm and had to use the cig lighter. well i had to turn the key to a point to get it to work. i wandered back inside and left the key this way. NOTHING on, radio lights NADA.... and the battery was dead the next morning. pretty sure that is the first time i have ever done that with a car so maybe that's normal. i got a jump and it charged right back up, but man....

i just changed the AA's in mine this week! kidding... i dont think our batteries are big enough to carry alot of load for a long time... my chevy caprice had a battery big enuff to jump start a 747 jumbo jet!

im wondering about an aftermarket, red top or yellow top battery........ it would be small but the CCA would be better...

Hey Ewing, in case you missed my recent post, "An interesting series of events...." that was about my battery.
Now, I NEVER accidentally killed it by leaving an electrical item turned on for too long, or overnight. Granted, I use my starter really often with my job.... probably 30 or 40 times a day. My Accent is now 16 months old, with 32,000 miles on it.

But anyway, as I said in that other post, my stock battery just died. The dealer said they usually get 2 or 3 years, but I guess my 16 months, is equal to many peoples 3 years, so.....
