Before doing any mods I consistantly averaged 33.5-34 mpg's.
While I was unable to drive I had someone drive me around. They left the lights on ,killed battery, thus resetting ecm.Learning their driving style ,the car got 32.6 mpg's even after upping tire pressure to 35 psi.
Since I reset the ecu, added the Amsoil filtered custom SRI,and a freer flowing round turbo style muffler, the first full tank check was 410.4 miles on 11.1 U.S.gallons =36.973 mpg!!!
This is with heavy air-conditioner use,and usually 1 or two extra passengers, with a mix of flats, hills, city and highway.Though mostly county road/highway travel.
As to how much each one contributed to the gain I cannot say.It may well have been the ecu reset with the combination of the others.Anyway I am well pleased.
Once again this is the first full tank results.I just hope it holds up.
Just now added fuel injector cleaner ,and due for an oil change.
Guess we'll see.

you lucky person you! after resetting my ecu i am getting about the same mileage as before. I have yet to go further than 367 miles on a full tank. from fill up to near empty. and that's with hardly any A/C usage. How do you do it? I have an upgraded intake and soon to be getting magnaflow exhaust..i hope.

sweet tango. i have been wanting to read about how much mpg increases you get with a couple of simple bolt ons. keep tracking and let us know if it changes. to me it sounds like a 3 mpg increase, so over every ten gallons you get lets say a gallon of gas worth of saving(10 gallons*3=30 vlose enough). so if gas is $4 where you buy it, your $40 jsut became $36. My question to you is how long until the money dished out for the mods repays itself? I dont know how much it cost you to do the mods or I'd finish the math myself

and, i am watching my ecu lol... my car runs very well, but i have noticed a trend of the car when ecu is reset, to pull like it did the day i drove it off the lot. ALOT sportier i mean. it soon goes to a little more sluggish feel. might explain the new car bad mileage woes we all went through, idk.

mines a 5 speed fwiw

Mine is an automatic.
Thea little over 12,000 miles it will have easily paid for itself (10 gallon fillups @ 370 miles per)while looking nice and sounding cool at the same time.
Evan I don't baby it,that's all I can say. B)

i don't baby mine either, I love the sound of the intake way too much...I get to half a tank and I'm usually around 200-220 miles, then after the halfway mark is passed, it the mpg bombs and I get another 100-140 miles tops out of it...just hit 12k miles too...stupid school and the 100 mile round trip...
