like i said, i didnt wanna offend you, but, even if u do make it "lighter" you might just make it slighly faster than a hummer =p Unless you idk, turbo it at stage 3, maybe u can beat a stock gti =p I'm just waiting till I get my next car to do serious mods, including carbon fiber parts, not an economy car. But i do love my accent, dont get me wrong, all its good for is looks, not performance

I am up for a CF hood. I just dont want the notch in the hood for the "H". I can get the money even if it means hooking :P .

CF hoods aren't ricey. They save a lot of weight. If you don't like the style, they are paintable as well.

"faster than a hummer", man, do you know how light our cars are? Put 200 ponies in our car and you could race most cars and not feel bad.

once again ur not maknig sense. ok first off i am getting a turbo. thats obvious, secondly a stock GTI is slow as ****. GTI's are heavy and they are like what? 190-200hp? so if i go boost that will leave me at like 200hp maybe even safe to say 180. but the hyundai accent is way lighter than a GTI. power to weight ratio buddy.

I would be interested as well, but before my money goes anywhere near you, you need to have shipping hammered out way ahead of time.

I have been part of/put together 3 group buys for carbon fiber hoods, and getting the hood mold/prototype tested and fitted is the easy part. Shipping is the biggest obstacle. You have basically 2 options due to the dimensions of hoods in general,

freight ship - very expensive and only ships to business locations
grey hound bus - cheap but no damage protection

On the last CF group buy I was apart of freight shipping was anywhere from 150 - 250 dollars depending on location.
Also when you ship you have to have your packaging situated because the corners of every hood will be the first part to crack during shipping.
CF hoods have very high tensile strength, but will shatter/crack easily from any kind of load. It is part of what makes shipping CF hoods a nightmare.

BS you lie!!!!!! you did not beat a mazda 3! muhahah my g/f owns a 3 and one night me and my good friend went to the strip and did a run. he beat my car by 10 in a quarter mile...

unless you mean the 2L my g/f has the gt 2.3 non turbo. but i have a hard time thinking a 2L would lose to an accent, they have incredible transmisions, like 70 k/m in second a 5k rpm

so either the mazda you raced sucked the bong water or he wasnt really racin.

and darn it rondy your paying for the stiches on my chin after it fell to the floor when i saw the pic.

last time i checked, if cf hoods made cars "rice" something should be done to the ownersof the many viper, vett, lambo, lotus, ferrari and countles other cars that i have seen im my small city with 250,000 people, who have cf hoods. a carbon fiber hood is NOT rice

and on the note of test fitters, the last time we tried we had enough people but no one on the forum lives near the factory to do the test fit. maybe if we all chipped in and paid KAT to drive there and junk it would be a possiblity but that was the deciding factor last time and thats why there still isnt one on the market.

and +1 for me
