Hello

During this winter I have takin my 2002 Hyundai Accent GS 1.5L SOHC to the next level, and swaped the motor with the 2004 Hyundai Elantra 2.0L DOHC CVVT. Now with everything finished and the car running pretty good I got a few bugs I need help with. I am able to start up let it warm up and idle down, I can do 2 to 3 passes with the car and I can go up to 6400 RPM, but after its as if something changes or aujusts, and I cant go farther then 5200 RPM!? And my idle will go from 800-700 to 600-500 RPM and wanting to stall? No check engine lights and no codes from the obd2 scanner...... HELP please

Nick

the only thing i can say is do a fresh new tune up if you havent and check if the o2 sensor of your model is the same one as the 2.0 you just put in i guess

Dear Extreme,

Did you also swap across the engine wiring harness and ECU? The ECU is the critical part, as this controls your fuel management and your electronic speed limiter...and the ECU for the 1.5 liter Alpha can't figure out that you changed engines.

Also, what is your fuel pressure reading? The 1.6/1.5 fuel pressure is lower than the 2.0 liter fuel pressure setting.
