Hey guys as the title says i have the 4 cylinder Sonata with no mods just a subwoofer was put in ("professionally") and I have a Pioneer Avic Z-1.

Well the other day I went up to Taco Bell and I put the car in Park and I sat there for a minute going over my order in my head. Suddenly out of nowhere the engine just shut off. This was at night so my lights were still on my radio was still playing music and all of that as far as I remember. I then proceeded to turn the car back on and it fired right up but it was so strange how it just turned off... Any ideas?

I know the most obvious take it to the dealer but I need to be able to recreate the problem for most of the dealers in my area. Still I'm definitely going to go back there and ask them to see what's going on. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Take a look at my install here.

Note: I did do a couple of searches on something like this I could not find anything sorry if this is a repost or anything similar.

mbp,
This happened to me once. I think my Sonata saw a Mazda6 and got scared. :P

No seriously, this can happen. Unless it happens often a recreation at the dealer is impossible. If you don't want to make a visit to the dealer take it to an AutoZone/Checker store and have them pull codes. If something is there they can print it out and give you a copy. THEN take it to the dealer.

you need my address to mail the payment to? :o

Wait, I need YOUR address so I can send you a bill. :shades:

Let us know if any codes are stored. :liebe011: Especially the Mazda/Taco Bell code. Your Sonata could be telling you to eat healthier. :innocent:

I am speechless.

Dumbfounded.

You never sent me a bill (of course).

But WHAT exactly do I owe you money for?

And (as Borat used to ask) HOW MUCH?

MBP.

Do you have a picture of your headunit? I know this is off topic but I would like to see how it looks. Thinking of getting a similar double din headunit.

Thanks.
