Hi

I have a 97 accent 1.5 SOHC. My city mileage is approx 27 mpg US (which is within what it should be), however, I find that my highway mileage is about the same. What could be causing this. I changed the plugs, wires and oil.


Also, on a different issue. My fuel gauge works fine in town but on the highway it goes down as if there was no fuel in the tanks. If I slow down to city speed, it works again. weird. The only way I could duplicate this is if I unpluged the wires going to the sending unit. Its like there is current going down the wire at highway speed. ????
