Hello all,

I have a 2004 Santa Fe with a 4 cylinder and a manual trans. My question is this. When I press the clutch in I hear a grinding or churning noise coming from the engine bay. However I am not sure if this is a clutch issue or if it may be one of the master cylinders. I have about 98,000 miles and I have never replaced the clutch. I do know that the clutch is quite after I release the peddle. It also doesn't seem to be slipping either.

Any help or ideas would be great!

Thanks

could be the throw out bearing or the clutch fork pivot point. since it goes away after releasing the clutch pedal. does it continue the duration you have the clutch pedal depressed or does it quit when you get to full travel of the pedal?
