i tried to find some kind of DIY for doing my left lower ball joint on a '03 3.5 liter Santa Fe 4x4, and could only find this:

Santa Fe DIY

it refers to using a special tool to remove the lower arm bushing. are there any other choices to get around this, or is there a better DIY (with pics) out there?

you can go to any auto supply store and buy a ball joint separator. it looks like a big tuning fork. just slide it under and hammer away.
