Need advice on parts

Hello,

I am a new owner of a 2000 Tiburon, I don't know much about cars.
I need a major body job and have got a first estimation about $1400 which include a new front/rear bumper
and a whole body paint job.
My first question is:
Where could I get those bumper cheaper or should I let them order those bumpers.
My seconde question concern my wheels. I have 3 17' Excel RIMs with low profil tires
and 1 15' original wheel with a Hyundai Cap on it. I embed some pictures taken by the previous owner.
My idea is to replace the 17' Excel rear wheel by a normal 15' wheel.
Is that a good idea from the safety point of view? Because right my rear wheel are different size.
If yes, where can I find this?

Thank you very much for you help.
Regards,

Seth

The body and paint look fine, why do you want to change them?

No unfortunately they are really not, these pictures are just too small and low quality.

Dear set,

How much money do you have to spend?

For safety, you really do need to have both tires on an axle the same size. How hard is it to find a 17 inch Excel rim on eBay?

Another option is to buy a replacement at Discount Tires. For the price, they have excellent wheels. Here is one that would fit, but I am sure you eventually want all 4 rims the same.

Bumpers: especially since you are considering repainting, go to a local junk yard or auto recycler and have them do an area search. I bet you can find an exact fit within 150 miles, and get it shipped to your house or the recycler for less than $200.

Are you painting back to the same color? You might consider doing some prep work yourself, and going for the $500 Maaco job.

Byron
