:460: I am finally mobile enough (down to one crutch)to complete a couple more mods.
Thanks to Komptek ,my custom SRI is now complete.
The throttle body pipe is from Ebay=$20 for 90-93 Accord, cut just beyond the vacuum tube outlet .The 90 degree turm is Specrtre from Autozone $12 (a short 60 would have worked better, but not enough room). The filter is the Amsoil EAau 3051 Absolute Efficiency $60 w/ tax and shipping..
Very nice looking filter with a great sound.
Possibly a small torque increase and definatley freer rev's.Now if I can just keep my foot out of it LOL.
Love the sound ,plus I am getting an axle-back or cat -back(custom) in a couple days.
Well worth the $92 dollars and a couple hours fitting.

no real gain in mgp that i noticed but you havea different filter. no performance, becuse what you gain from substatial improvment in flow is lost by hot air. nice sound and sexy though. i like the nice clean engine bay

Yea I did wipe it a little, with just one wipe ,but usually keep it pretty clean,at least for 22,000 miles,LOL
No red ,blue only.
And yes I broke both bones in my leg back on Feb.28th.,(got a new steel plate )March 28th ,finally told I could try to walk again June 23rd,with the boot on.

nice job on the set up...i too have a custom SRI(well its in the garage right now...lol)
i have a k/n filter from a truck on it(its oval rather than just a circle..dont know if that makes sense...loL) i was thinking of gettin a EA filter for it....but the wife doesnt like the sound of it....gives her head ache(kills me everytime she is in the car...lol)

well good luck with the legs and walkin....i broke bones in my foot and could walk for a month that likely killed me i started goin stir crazy after the third day...so you got my sympathies!

question for you guys that have the NON-OEM AEM SRI, will the custom SRI cause any problems with warranty or inspection? I'm starting to worry more about the one that I made passing the "test". And I have a bad front end shake up thru 3rd gear that I might have to have the dealership look at. And just wanted to make sure that there wouldn't be any problems from the service dept with voided warranties.

dont toss yer old filter setup! just in case they want to say something, you can leave and run home and change it back and then try them again... the AEM SRI is a Hyundai part, as it has the hyundai part number sticker on it with a hyundai logo...

with non oem, more than likely they might try and say not hyundai part, not covered... with AEM from hyundai, the dealer that did my oil change gave me compliments on the look and sound like it was supposed to be there, lol....

just swap the oem part on and take it in....i had to deal with the stealership (tranny hesitating) tried to blame it on my sri...so i swapped it out ....they still couldnt figure it out....so i put it back on until the wife complained about the noise...lol

but the sri affects nothing....unless you over oil your filter and cover a sensor up with the oil or something like that...

i wouldnt sweat it too much.....jmtc
