I had a bad alternator and the battery and alternator were replaced under warranty. However I just noticed that the nice battery in its lil box is not replaced with a much smaller hyudai battery - states 600cca but I dont know the reserve capacity. I am a bit miffed that they didnt use the same size battery - should I take it back in and ask for a replacement to original size?

So far (not counting the Genesis) there are only 2 different Hyundai batteries, a large one and a smaller one. The Hyundai battery part number for the Sonata, regardless of engine size, should be 00275-16001. If that's not what your battery says, take it back and make them put the right one in it. The part number is on the label on top of the battery.

The smaller battery part number is 00275-15001. It sounds like that's what they put in your car, but it's not correct.
