From cruising the forums it seems the Australian OEM single DIN stereo is different from the US models.

It is single DIN AM/FM/CD-MP3 with the three gauges above it (Torque, L/100km, Volts).

Does anyone know the make of this unit? What impedance are the speakers?

I am thinking of installing a JVC KD-AVX44 single DIN AM/FM/DVD/CD-MP3/USB/Bluetooth unit. Anyone have any experience with this install?

Is the 2006 substantially the same as the 2005 Tiburon?

Any help appreciated.

Hmm, never seen that head unit before. Looks like a Hyundai "brand" one, but who knows who actually makes it.

Any single-DIN stereo will fit just fine, and the install is easy. Just pop the ashtray open, get your fingers under the silver trim, and pull on it. It's just held on with clips around the edges (be careful with the sides as they're kinda thin). The unit is held in with some screws. Then you'd just need a wiring harness for the new unit, which you can get at Crutchfield or other electronics places.
