I love this car and intend to buy one later this year. That said, let me ask this question, what is the deal with the Genesis marketing plan?

Generally, you hype up a new model well before it is released to generate buzz. I have seen no advertising of any sort since last year's Super Bowl. I've checked all the dealer web sites in my area and none of them contain a single word about the Genesis even though they are sitting on the lots.

Supposedly, Hyundai has an $80M marketing plan in the works for the brand (including the Genesis). Where's the beef?

How the **** do they expect to redefine the segment if your average Joe has no idea the car exists?

I suppose it's good new for the rest of us. If no one knows about the car they wont sell. Then we ,who are "in the know", can snap them up on the cheap.

The new Maxima and TSX didn't receive any marketing before they came out that I recall. It's actually the exception, not the rule that the marketing blitz starts before the car is released.

Still, with most dealerships now in receipt of at least 1 Genesis, there is no time like the present. I would expect to see something by the end of them month.

Yeah, I never heard or knew about the Azera until I started looking at the 09 Sonata.
