My Azera odo just recently turned over 17,000 miles.

Last week I started noticing that the clunking sound seemed to be either muffled or gone. "Okay", I said to myself, "This is just my imagination. I won't put this information on the Hyundai website until I am absolutely sure that this is not just a figment of my imagination".

Today, I did quite a bit of driving over some very rough roads and the clunk is still gone. It must be real.

Of course, the over-soft front end ride is still there but the noise is gone. Go figure!!

Apparently the "Anti-Clunk" Gods have visited my Azera. There is no other explanation.

I am trying very hard to be a good Christian but am starting to lean toward the Greek Anti-Clunk Gods scenaio. They really do exist, don't they? :whistling:

I am currently experiencing a slight pull to the right on freeway driving and also have some tire thumping noise which I suspect is cupping. My appointment for a front end alignment is this coming Thursday.

Hopefully, I will get this current problem solved.

It seems as though there is always a new problem to take the place of a recently solved problem.

Keeps life interesting, right?

I will report the results after my dealership visit next week.

Pretty interesting, and weird, to be sure. I wonder if something was stuck in the suspension, or perhaps just hadn't settled? Really weird. If a stick or a cat got stuck in your suspension, then it also go stuck in lots of others' as well, it seems... at least we'd know what to look for!

Hopefully the pull to the right on the highway is toe alignment, because that's the only part of the geometry on double A-arm suspension that they're able to adjust.

I really can't imagine something settled in the suspension.

I just made a correction to my post. My Azera just turned over 17,000 miles, not 7,000 as originally posted.

It's too bad it wasn't something as simple as a stray cat, wrench, boulder, etc..

Whatever is going on, I am not complaining.

By the way, when I started noticing the lack of clunking, I intentionally drove over some particularly rough roads to see if I could bring it on.

Anyway, on to the next problem, the toe adjustment. :)

It only has a slight drift to the right and hardly noticable but I want to get it corrected before I have any premature tire wear.
