Neat! It doesn't have the wood dash, whatever that's in - Premium Package? But it does have Technology Package. This one has it:

Wood dash only comes on the base V6 model. All other models get the leather stitched dash/door trim. In order to get the Tech Package you have to get the Premium and Premium Plus Package on the V6. The V8 already comes standard with all the feature content that comes as part of the Premium Package on the V6.

You kidding me? The wood is the cheap end of the spectrum? This is contrary to intuition... I must explore the details & implications further.

Jwaters, did you see one w/ wood dash first hand? Is it fake? Does it look bad? The Azera's wood is an obvious fake, if you look at it closely - at least the steering wheel - you can see pixels from the printing process.

Now I'm worried about this wood trim thing...

The wood "feels" fine, but looks a bit fake. It's really bad on the saddle interior which uses a horrible looking red colored wood trim (personal opinion). The tan interior has dark brown wood trim which looks like the real deal. The medium brown wood trim (which I have, just not on the dash/doors since I have the Premium and Premium Plus Package) comes with the black/saddle interior and falls somewhere in the middle in terms of it's appearance of authenticity.

I like the fake wood as it contrasts with the vinyl and leather. The one on the Auto Trader site looks very good to me. The black interior sure doesn't look very black in the photos.
Interestingly, the Genesis brochure shows cashmere (tan), black and saddle (redish/brown?).
In the brochure, the cashmere interior appears to have a black dash top and cashmere for lower dash with the dark brown "wood" between.
Even in many of the "real" luxury cars, you do not get real wood until you hit $55,000 plus. I can live with plastic wood as long as it is done well and holds up.

Then that would be a base V6 model. If it were Cashmere with the Premium Package it would have black leather on the dash/doors like this:

The Genesis is one heck of a deal a fully loaded GS350 ballparks around 51,000, you can get a fully loaded v6 model for 40,000 grand plus the 10 year 100k warranty.
