Purchased a 2003 used with 45k on it.... I have noticed that there is a clunk, I am assuming from the transmission, when I brake from speed, slow down but not stop, and accelerate. Checked fluid level, it is low, but not below the add line. Not other transmission symptoms, shifts are smooth when starting from a stop. Thoughts......??????

My first thought is the damper clutch but the TSB for that only applies to models built before May of 2002. Here's two TSBs I dug up for you that could be the source of your troubles.

TSB#0440018
2004 Santa Fe 2.4/2.7l TCM (transmission control module) reprogramming instructions for improved upshifts and drive and reverse engagement.

TSB#0440008
TCM reprogramming instructions for driveline bump between 2-10 mph

I'd take it to the dealer and see if the car has had these TSBs performed. If not, have them perform them and top off the transmission fluid. VERY IMPORTANT!!! USE ONLY HYUNDAI-APPROVED TRANSMISSION FLUID!!!

Hope this helps you. :57:
