A few people have found if you just want a SRI to buy any 45' bent pipe in the 2.75" -3" sizing and attach it to the rubber OEM tubing. Remover the top part of your filter box and filter. Buy yourself a aftermarket Universal cone filter and put that on the end of the pipe. Presto a cheap SRI. The Weapon R has had some issues with install and such, so I'd go with what I wrote above. Or save a cash and go AEM if you want it to look great.

Yes the weapon r has installation issues but id rather go with that than a custom one but overall save money and get the aem one from the dealer.

here are a list of sellers of the weapon-r for our car though

They mean save UP you money to get the OEM AEM intake. You will not save any money getting the AEM, but you get the beautiful OEM look. That is the way
I will be going.

I made my own SRI from the Spectre products that Autozone and O'Reilly's sells. It looks great all chromed out and sounds excellent. I had a guy in a 2000 Camaro tell me it was very impressive for such a small engine. I'll try and get my picks on here in a few minutes so I can show ya. If I can figure out a way to get a vid loaded I'll take a vid while I'm driving so you can hear it. Oh and the install was a breeze. Hardest part was making a brackett for the ECU.

(IMG:http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/5961/1001190th5.th.jpg)

Total Cost: $65 +/- $2.75 (two pieces of tubing, (45 and 60 degree bends), 1 rubber fitting, 1 homemade brackett, and cone filter)

Also I put in the a small breather filter in place of the hose that originally attached to the intake. that was like $8 I think.
