hello does anyone know about a malfunction indicator light that has come on in my xg30/xg300 I have just bought the car today and the light came on after 30 miles of motorway driving back home. Just hope its not costly and if anyone knows that would be great! i love the car, it looks great and was reasonable so would be upset if it was a big x

You will need to get your Malfunction Indicator Light ( also called a Check Engine Light because the dashboard shows a bright yellow engine diagram when lit) read. Many auto repair shops and auto parts stores will read this for free in the US, don't know if you can get this read for free in UK. That CEL code will give us valuable information about what is wrong, and possible fixes. Get that code and we can help.

Thanks for your help. Ok the hyundai srvice centre say that my pump needs replacing and then recheck as they could not clear the fault codes to the pump. the other codes were po715 input turn speed sensor, c1209 rr sensor open or short, c1210 rr tone wheel speed jump
c2402 motor pump faulty. The cost of the new pump is £1300 like 2500 us dollars and the guy i bought it off wont take it back.
If you think all this makes sense would you let me know as it may not be worth getting this done
