Hi Everyone,

Recently when I start my car first thing in the morning the handbrake light on my dashboard remains on. Im not sure if this has anything to do with it, but usually when my engine warms up, the light goes off. Around the same time (a week ago) when this started happening, I notice one of my rear break lights have stopped working. Im clueless about the electronics of my car, so if anyone can explain why my handbrake light remains on, it would be fantastic. Also, before you ask, I always make sure the handbrake is correctly off.

Thank you.

first of all check the brake fluid level, if this is low it will activate the light. however if the fluid level is o/k then you have likely got a faulty switch. the rear brake light is nothingto do with it and is likely just a bulb
