Howdy all! I've been checking around trying to find the location for the Purge Control Valve (part # 28910-22040) on a 2002 Elantra. I've seen a thread that said 2001 located right rear on the canister; I've given a quick peek there but didn't see it. Then I've seen threads of other years being located in the engine compartment away from the canister near the fuse box. Even got an Alldata account for this vehicle which shows the valve is behind the intake towards the top of the firewall. Lots of conflicting information for such a simple part to replace!

Maybe I've started too long and hard at this car and I'm just simply overlooking it. Can anyone tell me where it is on the 2002 model?

According to the parts diagram I am looking at, it should be attached to the intake manifold by a short length of hose, slightly behind and underneath the intake manifold actually.
