So what? They went ahead and made them availible with no thank you or reply of any sort? That seems rather crappy of them, lol. Good work man.

Yeah so far autotrader has never taken kindly to my "You're missing models" posts. Two years ago I wrote to them to say, "You're missing E65 AMG. This vehicle is currently for sale." They wrote back and said, "We do have E65 AMG. IF you have any questons, call 1-800-thanks-for-nothing". Sure enough, by the time the fellow responded, E65 shows up in the list. It had been for sale for several months in the U.S. by that point, IIRC.
Another time, three years ago, I wrote to them and said, "Jaguar has a model, Super-V8, that is independent of Vanden Plas and XJ8. Has been in production since 2000. It's not in the list. S-Type R, in production since 2003, is also not in the list." They replied, "We don't separate out trim levels in our car types." Oh REALLY? Interesting. Because they do have XJ8 / Vanden Plas / XJR in the list. They're all XJs. So I had a tough time figuring out why S-Type R and Super V8 were mere "trim levels" whereas XJR and XJ8 are considered separate models.
Another time they posted an update to their car search form, and I realized that it wasn't working right - AT ALL - I'm talking, total botched deployment. It was the feature where it narrows the years you can enter for the 'range' based on startYear or endYear. Neither IE or FF would work properly, even with JS security permissions wide open. I wrote to them that very morning after the deployment and said, "Your JS doesn't work." Even recommended a few points to inspect in the client-side Javascript code. They fixed it by the end of the day and wrote back a week later, "The form is working fine. Thanks for contacting us."
Boy what a bunch of grumpy customer spport people... I'm doing FREE QA for them! Being in the software industry, I'll tell you, a well-run operation like that should APPRECIATE the friendly feedback from loyal visitors (and a customer almost a dozen times over, to boot), not say, "We're always right, go away." :bwekk: ****. I think they owe me a few hundred bucks for a few hours of QA over the years that is apparently better than that which they themselves can provide for their own website :)
So yeah, maybe not related to my most recent email, but Genesis showed up in the list the day after I wrote to them. In about a week I'm expecting a curt email saying, "Genesis is already in the list. Get lost."
I love autotrader's customer service!
